We will test our scientific and methodological hypotheses via the following objectives:

How do mutations impact protein-protein binding?
We are interested in mapping how amino acid mutations modify the way that proteins fold and bind, and in turn, how these modify organism characteristics.
Heterogeneity in cell morphology
E. coli cells imaged by our team can have heterogeneous morphology such as the "spaghetti phenotype" shown here.
Respiratory Syncytial Virus bound to antibody Motavizumab
Our team is predicting and testing how the evolution of this virus could undermine antibody treatment efforts.
